Hammer Down Home Improvement, LLC was founded in April 2008 by Chris Masaberg & Mark West. Hammer Down Home Improvement, LLC can handle all aspects of construction including excavation, foundations, framing, insulation, dry-wall, flooring, trim, windows & doors, siding, roofing and gutters. We have an electrician and plumber, who are licensed and insured, on staff. Hammer Down Home Improvement LLC, is an insured and bonded business.
Chris Masaberg, originally from Eldersburg, Maryland, did framing for American Carpentry and Moynihan Construction. He switched career paths and starting a moving business (owner-operator for Atlas Van Lines) which was successful for seven years. Chris decided to come off the road and worked for Parker Fuel Company as a truck driver and service technician for five years before starting the home improvement business.
Mark West, originally from Rhode Island, has extensive experience in slate & cedar roofing including Hammersmith farm (the childhood home of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis often referred to as "The Summer White House). He had the opportunity to work on renovations of historical homes in the Newport, Rhode Island area. Mark moved to Maryland in 1996 and learned the art of custom cabinetry at Tillette's Plus Cabinetry in Timonium. He also has experience as a superintendent at Breand Corporation (commercial construction) in Sykesville.
